Only the original Kiondo Bags, hand-crafted by the tribes women from Kenya’s Eastern Province are authentic and supreme compared to the sisal baskets that come from Far Eastern countries.
Traditionally, Kiondos were used to hold staple foods like beans and maize. Now these bags have evolved into highly sort after fashion bags.
Each bag is crafted by using natural sisal, a local plant fibre and natural dyes. The leather is worked by the Nairobi craftsmen using only traditional tools.
All this results in an individual hand made bag of great charm and a pleasure to own.
